State-of-the-art antiseptic for Bacterial Vaginosis.
The active ingredient of Evagynal is polyhexanide biguanide (PHMB), a cationic surfactant that is very well tolerated by all mucous membranes. Polyhexanide is a polymer built from monomers containing a biguanide group.
The use of Evagynal promotes the restoration of normal body functions, even during traumatic treatments such as pharmacological or medical.
Dosage
- Usually, a single application is sufficient. The treatment can be repeated after 4 days on the advice of a doctor.
- For a quick restoration of the vaginal flora: Normaflor vaginal tablets, start these 1 week after the last application of Evagynal.
Indications
- Bacterial vaginosis
- For the treatment of inflammations of the vulva, vagina, and cervix, regardless of nature and cause.
- After medical procedures (diathermic coagulation, laser therapy, cryotherapy) in combination with wound treatment.
Contraindications
Established hypersensitivity to the ingredients. During pregnancy, the product should only be used if strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Side Effects
- In some cases, hypersensitivity (burning sensation or irritation) may occur, which has no further consequences and for which the treatment does not need to be adjusted; however, patients should report any undesirable side effects suspected to be caused by the product to their doctor and pharmacist.
- (Especially prolonged) use of locally applied products can lead to hypersensitivity. In that case, you should discontinue the treatment and contact your doctor for appropriate treatment. The product should only be administered vaginally.
- No harmful effects have been reported with overdose, provided the product is used under normal conditions.
